Australian retirement savings industry has been targeted by hackers, according to the peak body, ASFA. Members’ data has been compromised in several funds. While majority of breaches were stopped, a number of companies, including Rest and AustralianSuper, were affected. Limited personal data was exposed, and impact has been limited to less than 1% of members. No member funds were transferred out of impacted members’ accounts.
