Family, friends, and supporters shared stories and memories of Kirk’s dedication to conservative values and his role in the Maga movement. Many vowed to continue his work, with some seeing Kirk as a martyred figure who had left a lasting spiritual and political impact. The memorial was an impressive organization, with Taylor Swift-like security measures in place and put together within 10 days.
Attendees, including parents and children, showed their respects and continued support for Kirk’s message. There were also stations for voter registration and selling memorial T-shirts. As Barbara Sawick and Jeffrey Oakie, among the attendees, remarked, Kirk’s legacy inspired a renewal of faith in traditional American values and a commitment to being more vocal about Kirk’s beliefs.
