Several people lost their lives and many others were injured when a driver drove his car into a crowd at a street festival on Saturday in the Canadian city of Vancouver. According to the local police, the driver is currently in custody. The incident occurred during a celebration organized by the Filipino community to honor Lapu Lapu Day, which is a tribute to a renowned Filipino anti-colonial leader from the 16th century. The festival took place in the Sunset on Fraser neighborhood of the city just after 8 PM on Saturday.
