Despite intense diplomatic engagements, including a significant trade agreement with the UK, the ongoing situation in the Middle East has led to Trump’s early departure from the summit. This decision is a setback for Albanese, who had been anticipating his first face-to-face meeting with Trump. Although he will still meet with other leaders such as Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron, his meeting with Trump is now off the schedule.
