Trump Suggests Canada’s Potential for ‘Golden Dome’ Involvement

The Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney, stated in May that the country was in talks with the United States to participate in President Donald Trump’s “Golden Dome” missile defense system. When inquired about the cost of the project, expected to exceed hundreds of billions or even trillions of dollars, Carney responded that he would not assign a price to it. However, he also acknowledged that Canada could invest in and partner in the project. But Trump declared on May 27 that Canada could join for free on condition that it becomes the 51st state of the US.
